Dermatologic
The Dermatology Department diagnoses and treats
various skin conditions, infectious skin diseases,
fungal skin infections, infections of the
fingernails and problems with the hair.
The department includes an in-house hospitalization
ward, a dermatology clinic, a clinic for
Phototherapy (that treats patients suffering from
psoriasis, vitiligo and micosis fungoides) and a
laboratory for analyzing fungal diseases.
The department also diagnoses various types of skin
cancers, conducting screening and follow up of moles
and beauty marks to confirm or rule out a diagnosis
of melanoma.
We
provide services for:
- Basal Cell Carcinoma - Basal cell carcinoma
is the most common form of cancer worldwide.

dermatitis is very common in all parts of the world.
- Hand Eczema - A hand rash, also called hand
dermatitis or hand eczema, may be caused by many
things.
- Dry Skin and Keratosis Pilaris - Skin is
not dry because it lacks oil, but because it lacks
water. Therefore all treatments are aimed at
replacing water in the skin and the environment.
- Warts - Warts are non-cancerous skin
growths caused by a viral infection in the top layer
of the skin.
-
Dermatologic Surgery - The severity and
appearance of skin problems vary considerably. Most

and risk in dermatologist's office.
- Acne - Acne can happen when your skin
produces too much oil, which clogs the pores of your
skin.
- Perioral Dermatisis - Perioral dermatisis
is a common skin problem that mostly affects young
women.
- Molluscum Contagiosum - Molluscum
contagiosum is a common non-cancerous skin growth

skin. They are similar to warts, but are caused by a
different virus.
- Psoriasis - Psoriasis is a lifelong skin
disease that causes dry, red, scaly patches to
appear on your skin.
- Melasma - If you have brown or gray-brown
patches on your face, especially on your cheeks,
upper lip, nose forehead, or chin, you may have
melasma.
- Hair Loss - People who notice their hair
shedding in large amounts after combing or brushing,
should consult a dermatologist.
- Skin Cancer - Skin cancers don't arise from
the air. Most are caused by the sun. Up to 90% of
all skin cancers are caused by exposure to the sun's
harmful (UV) rays.
- Scars - An essential part of the body's
natural healing process, scars are the result of the
skin's repair of wounds caused by accident, disease,
or surgical incision. |
