Internal
Medecine
Internal Medicine is
the gatekeeper of the medical profession.
A good internist must
have extensive knowledge in all disciplines, and must keep
abreast of all new developments across the board. He (or she) is
the only one who can integrate all symptoms and observations
into an overall picture, and provide a bird's eye-view of the
patient's clinical condition. Thus he (or she) is the leader and
pathfinder of the entire diagnostic and therapeutic process.
While utilizing the highly advanced technologies and services
provided by specialists, the internist remains the personal
physician who really knows the patient and cares for him/her on
an ongoing basis.
This new approach, represented at the division by an experienced
senior staff, accompanied by a strong emphasis
on the development of future professional forces. Already, the
division's high academic standards and intellectual challenges
are attracting many of Israel's most outstanding interns and
young practitioners. Offered a nurturing atmosphere and wealth
of professional opportunities, these up-and-coming physicians
ensure a promising future for Israel's Internal Medicine in
general. |
